Here are a few projects completed by Design Savvy .....
'RESTFUL RETREAT'....

Adjoining Dressing Room leading to full washroom

'COZY UP'....

Once a non-descript "builder's beige room with beige and brown out of date brickwork around the fireplace, this room has been transformed into a cozy and warm family room.
'GLITZ & GLAM'.....

'SOOTHING TONES'
....
This large and cold principal bedroom was transformed with the use of a contemporary taupe and creamy white stripe wallpaper. Bedding can be versatile, allowing for the room to be dressed in an all white theme for summer which gives a cool and refreshing look; or equally attractive in winter when the bedding is changed to an aqua, taupe and creamy white theme, giving a warm and comfortable feeling for this retreat.
'A LITTLE BISTRO'....
An outdated and dark basic builder's kitchen with golden oak cabinetry was transformed into a "french" bistro style, offering warmth & brightness with new cream cabinetry, straw colored walls, along with a black and white theme in fabrics and black appliances. New laminate flooring replaced worn and bland sheet flooring.

'MONOCHROMATIC WHITE'....
Originally this small combination Living Room/Dining Room was broken up by a long half wall which created limited movement throughout the space. In this project the half wall was removed to open up the space. Carpet was removed and replaced with wood flooring. Using a monochromatic theme of white walls and furniture helps keep the space open, however many textures and small hits of color keep the rooms from being flat and cold.
'COZY DOWN UNDER'.....

What started out as an unfinished and empty lower level, has now been transformed into an inviting area for watching TV, reading and entertaining. Adding a tone on tone checkerboard pattern behind the bar created a focal point in this large room (other than the large screen TV, not seen) as you enter the room.

'TRADITIONAL CHARM'....
This washroom was in need of some updating. The home is owned by a couple of "empty nesters" who wanted something a little more contemporary, but at the same time wished to retain the rich oak wood which is throughout the space. We worked with the current stone flooring which was quite beautiful in a greyish/taupe. A wallpape border was removed, the window valence removed and the walls were painted a warm greyish/taupe that worked well with the tile and kept the space warm. A new custom made roman blind in brown/taupe/grey and a hint of aqua was installed. Light fixtures, linens, accessories and art were then added co-ordinating tones to create a soothing place to indulge in a long soak in the jacuzzi tub!
'STATEMENT STRIPES'....
This bedrooom already had furniture the client wanted to keep but ithe space needed a few finishing touches to give it some character. We worked with a monochromatic creamy white scheme and added shots of color in the accessories. The walls were treated to a paint treatment of alternative 6" and 8" stripes in a warm taupe and creamy white. This added some excitement and warmth to the room without diminishing it's size. Next the cream bedding which had tiny bits of a burgundy and dark blue was highlighted with a dark blue lamp, burgundy dresser accessories and throw. To complete the look we added a creamy white shag/sheep type area rug. The finished room is light and airy while at the same time warm and cozy.

'A NEW CHAPTER'....
What once bright lime green "teen room" has been transformed into a Warm Brown and Taupe space fitting for a young woman.
A little bling in the ceiling fixture
' A WASH OF BLUE'....

'ASIAN INFLUENCE'....

'BOLD AND BRIGHT'.....
This young girl's washroom was originally very plain and lacked style. In keeping with her love of color and of animals, it is now a cheerful yellow, decorated with animal prints and black and white accessories.

'A LITTLE BLACK MAGIC'
